Seoul nightlife, by neighborhood
Seoul does not have one nightlife strip. Hongdae runs until dawn with a young crowd, Itaewon packs cocktail bars and international clubs, Gangnam leans dress-code lounges, and Seongsu is quieter converted-factory bars. Use this guide to pick a neighborhood first — then open the photo lists on KONA.
Start with the neighborhood, not the venue
Search traffic shows people type “Hongdae clubs” or “Itaewon bars” far more than “Seoul club.” Distance between scenes is real: Itaewon to Hongdae is a long taxi, and Gangnam is another trip. Decide the area before you chase a single Instagram spot.
Hongdae — clubs and late energy

Itaewon — densest cocktail strip
The most international crowd in Seoul. Strong for cocktail bars, lounges, and clubs around Gyeongnidan and Hannam. Good default if your group speaks English.
Gangnam — lounges and dress codes
Apgujeong and Cheongdam lounges sit next to clubs around Gangnam Station. Expect cover charges and stricter door policies. Go here for a polished night, not a cheap crawl.
Seongsu & Euljiro — quieter drinks
Seongsu is almost all bars in renovated industrial spaces. Euljiro mixes unmarked bars with older rooms between print shops. Choose these when you want conversation over a dance floor.
