Itaewon bars — Seoul’s cocktail strip
Itaewon has Seoul’s highest concentration of cocktail bars, with the night spilling into Hannam and Gyeongnidan. It is the easiest district if your group is mixed-nationality and wants conversation rooms before (or instead of) a club.
Why Itaewon for bars
Menus and staff are used to English. You get classic cocktail rooms, natural-wine spots, and lounges within a short walk. Clubs exist too, but bars are the district’s strength.
Hannam & Gyeongnidan
Do not stop at the main Itaewon slope. Hannam and Gyeongnidan hold many of the better rooms — quieter doors, stronger drinks programs. Check the map pin before you climb the wrong hill.
Pairing with a club
If half the group wants a dance floor, start with a bar reservation mindset (arrive early) and move to an Itaewon club after midnight. Keep both pins saved offline.
