Hongdae clubs — what to expect
Hongdae is Seoul’s most approachable club district: younger crowd, alleys packed past 2 a.m., and a mix of big rooms and smaller bars. If you searched “Hongdae clubs,” start with the club list, then keep a bar nearby for the gap before doors peak.
Timing
Doors often feel empty before midnight and thicken after 1 a.m. on weekends. Weekdays are softer. Arrive with a backup bar in walking distance so you are not stuck outside a slow queue.
Cover and ID
Larger clubs charge cover; some include a drink. Bring ID. Dress codes are looser than Gangnam but sportswear-only looks still get turned away at some doors.
Bars between clubs
