We logged the real opening and closing hours of 205 verified venues. Here is when to go out, when to move, and when to stop.
A Seoul night does not start whenever you like. More venues open at 19:00 than any other hour, and more close at 04:00 than any other hour. Between those two points there are two decision moments, and most visitors walk straight past both.
18:00–20:00 · Doors open
Rooftops open first. Go up before the sun is fully gone — that is what you are paying the view for. 19:00 is the most common opening hour in the city.

Bars fill up. Of the venues we list, 144 are bars and only 29 are clubs. A Seoul night starts sitting down, and a club at this hour is empty.
23:30–00:30 · The first decision
The subway stops. This is where the night splits — go home, or go until morning. Staying half-committed just means paying for a taxi, and the surcharge is 40% between 23:00 and 02:00.
00:30–02:00 · Peak, then the first wave ends
Clubs hit their peak. Then the first wave ends — 50 venues close at 02:00. If you have not picked your next room, you will be picking it on the street.

02:00–04:00 · The real floor
This is when clubs actually operate. 52 venues run to 04:00 — the busiest hour of the night in Seoul, and the one most visitors sleep through.
04:00–05:30 · The after, and the first train
55 venues go past 05:00, and the first train runs at 05:30. You do not need to fight for a taxi — you need to wait. Tap in before 06:30 and you also get the 20% early-bird discount.

What time should I go out in Seoul?
Rooftops and bars open from 19:00. Clubs open at 22:00 but do not fill until after midnight. The standard flow is to start around 19:00, spend a few hours at a bar, and move to a club after midnight.
What time is the last subway in Seoul?
Roughly 23:50–00:50 on weekdays at central stations, varying by line and station. On Saturdays and holidays it is 45–60 minutes earlier. The first train is usually around 05:30.
Is anything open until morning in Seoul?
Yes. 52 venues run to 04:00 and 55 go past 05:00, with seven open beyond 07:00. Since the first train is at 05:30, staying past 05:00 saves you the taxi fare entirely.
